Telerik Wins Big in 2009 SD 100 Awards, Visual Studio Magazine Readers' Choice

I've always said that you can never trust a single poll, survey, or judged result in isolation. Statistically, there are always "outlier" results, so you need to aggregate results from a variety of sources to create accurate assessments of anything subjective. That's why it's especially significant that Telerik has been recognized by not only the 2009 SD Times 100 Awards, but also the 2009 Visual Studio Magazine Readers' Choice Awards. Combine that with our strong showing the 2009 aspnetPro Readers' Choice Awards and the 2009 Code Project Members' Choice Awards, and it becomes clear that it is no fluke that Telerik is continually recognized as the best in industry awards. Our most recent awards are for similar recognitions: creating the best web and desktop components for .NET. Specifically, we are the winner in the "Component Suites for .NET - Desktop and Web" category in the 2009 Visual Studio Magazine Readers' Choice Awards (along with a handful of other "2nd place" awards) and we are recognized as one of the leading vendors in the SD Times 100 "Components and Libraries" category. Combine that with the recent "casual" survey that shows Telerik as the leading 3rd party Ajax suite for .NET, and you start to paint a picture of quality you can trust. Of course, as with any of our awards- Readers' Choice or not- we must thank you for our continued success! Your votes and your feedback help make us great and we focus on that everyday, renewing our commitment daily to make tools and components that make your developer lives simpler. Thanks for helping make the first half of 2009 a great year. We can't wait to make the second half (with your help) even better!

Last chance to vote in aspnetPRO Readers' Choice, Procastinators act now

Another year's voting in the aspnetPRO Readers' Choice awards is drawing to a close, so if you haven't yet voted, today is your last chance! Really. Voting closes tomorrow, Saturday, April 25th, so this the last call to all of you (like me) that like to put things off until they're really due. While prepping this post, I was surprised to discover that I hadn't announced the opening of the voting a few weeks ago, so let me quickly recap the categories where you can vote for Telerik this year: Best Community Resource: Telerik’s Community Best Component Set: Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Best Content Managements System: Sitefinity Web CMS Best Grid: Telerik RadGrid for ASP.NET AJAX Best Navigation Control: Telerik RadMenu for ASP.NET AJAX Best Online Editor: Telerik RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX Best Printing/Reporting Tool: Telerik Reporting Best Scheduler/Calendar Tool: Telerik RadScheduler for ASP.NET AJAX Best Testing/QA Tool: Telerik WebUI Test Studio (powered by ArtOfTest) Best Training: Telerik Training Best Utility: Telerik OpenAccess ORM Best Silverlight: RadControls for Silverlight And unlike previous years, the voting this year couldn't be simpler. Gone is the multi-page voting form that has long lists of nominees, and its place is a simple, one page Survey Monkey survey. You can literally vote in 30 seconds. We'd like to say a big thank you to those of you that have already voted in this year's awards. Voting is a great way to show Telerik you like the work we're doing and we genuinely appreciate the time you spend casting ballots for us. We look forward to continuing to innovate great new products and continuing to earn your Readers' Choice votes. Vote now in the 2009 aspnetPRO Readers' Choice Awards

Vote for Telerik in 2008 Readers' Choice Awards

It's March. Do you know what that means? Clocks are "springing forward" around the world. College hoops is well underway. The major Microsoft conference season has started. And it's time for the annual asp.netPRO Readers Choice Awards. That's right, the voting has just opened for one of the most respected and well recognized awards programs in the .NET industry. Last year, Telerik brought home 8 Readers Choice Awards, one for every category in which it was nominated. For that, we continue to owe you- the "readers"- a huge thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for Telerik with the rest of the .NET community.

This year Telerik is nominated once again in a number of award categories. In fact, we've picked-up 3 new category nominations this year, so you've got your voting work cut out for you. And the nominations are (in voting order):

  • Best Charting & Graphics Tool: Telerik RadChart
  • Best Community Resource: Telerik's Community
  • Best Component Set: Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET
  • Best Content Management System: Sitefinity Web CMS
  • Best Grid: Telerik RadGrid
  • Best Navigational Control: Telerik RadMenu
  • Best Online Editor: Telerik RadEditor
  • Best Printing/Reporting Tool: Telerik Reporting
  • Best Scheduling/Calendar Tool: Telerik RadCalendar
  • Best Training: Telerik
  • Best Utility: Telerik RadSpell
And if you make it through all of those categories (making your Telerik votes along the way, of course), you'll be asked last to cast your vote for "Product of the Year." Telerik has about 10 options in this list, so to concentrate our "PotY" votes, let's all vote for the RadControls for ASP.NET as product of the year. Also, in the category of Best Scheduling/Calendar Tool, cast your vote for Telerik here if you like our RadScheduler or RadCalendar. I don't think we can have both products nominated in this category, so you'll have to make a RadScheduler vote a RadCalendar vote.

Also, while voting, show some support for our good friends at Falafel Software by voting for their Active!Focus product in the Best Project Management/Defect Tracking Tool category. This is their inaugural year in the awards and I know they'd love to get your support and do well.

With that, I encourage you to vote right now before you forget and then check back in early May to see the results. Thanks in advance for all of your support in these awards and for choosing Telerik as your .NET component vendor of choice!
